Why plant trees in square holes

Did you know planting trees in square holes makes them grow stronger and faster? Round holes promote a circular root structure that can result in the stunting of your trees. Square holes encourage the roots to spread out at the corners and grow into the surrounding earth.

 

And before before you fill the hole up with rich organic matter and fertilizer, fill it up with the soil that you just dug out. Doing this will reduce the chances of the roots “container effect” behavior.
